P510Q Power5+ Server
P510Q Power5+ servers installed as single instance hosts. The provide platforms for Oracle 10g databases and application servers. All storage is configured locally.
8-Way IBM p570 Server
IBM 8 way p570 installation utilising APV (Advanced Power Virtualisation). This consists of 2 VIO servers hosting 6 LPARs, each running AIX 5.3. All storage for the LPARS is provided through the VIO servers via an IBM DS4300 SAN, which itself hosts LUNS for a further 20+ LPARS on another p570 and VIO configuration.
IBM Power4 p615 Server
An IBM Power4 p615 server which hosts a payroll service for more than 3000 employees.
IBM 3584 Ultrascalable Tape Library
An IBM 3584 Ultrascalable Tape Library with three expansion frames split into 3 logical libraries each with a dedicated TSM server. In total more than 600 servers are backed up using this device, having around 66Tb of data onsite, and the same stored offsite as a disaster recovery copy.
IBM 7133 D40 Disk Subsystem
2 storage racks with IBM 7133 D40 drawers installed. Next to storage is a T42 rack with 7 Power4 servers installed hosting a variety of applications.
16-Way IBM p570 Server
A 16 way p570 with Hardware Management Console hosting 2 VIO servers and 25 Micropartitions. All data for the LPARs is provided by a DS4300 and three EXP710s providing 8Tb of storage.
